I wrote this song after meeting a girl at a party who had told me her boyfriend had dumped her the night before. Obviously they were still going through the “Will we or will we not get back together” thing, and I was like, man, he dumped her so cold like that, without warning. What if I just make myself an option, get in the middle of this?

Ultimately I learned she was actually the real villain in the scenario and him moving on was the best thing for him.

Months later, I decided to use this story to begin the "A Goddess Returns" narrative.

Brutally Honest is a prequel, telling the story of how the Goddess Anxhela has met our main character. It tells how Anxhela moves from one man to the next.
